hey all, i just came back from my run (:

well, usual stuff in church after LTP today... played played and playyyyyyyyed more games.
a point to note, BOTH MY RECENT BLEACHED SHIRT AND MY NEW SHOES ARE DIRTY!
my Adidas-es. :(
blame the bushes at the pickle ball court.

Hmm, before i end this post, i thought i should just share with my faithful muchtropolitans something interesting i noticed while watching this little boy skateboard today.
The verse that goes along with this section would be : Hebrews 11:1. ( DONT GO CHECK WHAT IS IT YET! =D)

His name is Alson ...
and a few of us be-friended him and his friends.
they were intially playing soccer in the field but they soon came over and played frisbee with us
much fun we had man! =)

After everyone left for home, i just sat there for a little while to catch my breath AND that was when i saw something that really encouraged me to continue to have such child-like faith in my heavenly father.

Alson didn't know how to skate in the beginning, but still, he borrowed the board from me and asked if he could give it a shot. well, seeing no harm in that, I lent it to him.
In less than ten minutes, Alson, not only began to skate really well, he tried to do stuns with it.
well, he did fell a couple of times, but everytime he hit the ground, he quickly picked himself up.

okay, let me go straight to the point.

what i'm trying to say is that children like Alson these days, don't fear falling off the skateboard and having terrible falls, so they just go about their lives, trying out different kinds of things and playing their hearts out, and all these happen due to their little knowledge of the dangers around them and the trust they have for the things around them.
Their innocence makes it very easy for them to not fear failures and to stand up quickly after every fall.
Seeing Alson play with the skateboard makes me think about the faith I have in my God. That innocent child-like faith to just trust Him and to leave everything at His feet and the will to persevere after every fall.
Now, i understand, why the term faith is used with child-like. (Alson, u might not ever in your life read this, but yes, thank you, u've taught me much today)

just a thought for all of you*
On the scale of one to ten, how much faith in God do u have?
In times when you are feeling dry,
Let me assure you, u are not alone and you never will.
Always remember to turn back to your heavenly father and allow Him to refresh you.

*God loves us taking risks, because risks always involve that element of faith*

Be brave!
Now, after much talk, the verse i mentioned above is this:
*Now faith is to be sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see*

yup! a very short verse, but it speaks so much. Hebrews 11:1

on a lighter note, maybe thats how i got that major fall that landed me in hospital years back.
LOL. much faith i had in the sofa i used to slide with.
*insiders joke*

abels wise saying: flowers have emotions too. I know of a girl who sings to flowers.
